1. What the calculator is comparing
EveDashboard runs two valuations against the same pasted inventory and the same trade hub. The first prices the source items intact. The second applies your selected net reprocessing yield to complete recipe portions and prices the resulting outputs.
Incomplete portions are retained instead of being silently discarded. Items without a usable reprocessing recipe are retained too. That makes the comparison closer to what actually remains in your inventory after a real processing job.
2. Portions matter
Reprocessing recipes operate in portions. If an item requires a full portion and your stack does not contain enough for another complete portion, the remainder stays intact. The tool reads the recipe portion size supplied by the pricing/reprocessing engine rather than assuming one portion size for every item.
ExampleIf a recipe portion is 100 units and you have 1,050 units, 1,000 units can be processed and 50 remain intact.
3. Yield determines recovered quantity
The simplest and most reliable input is the net percentage shown by EVE's reprocessing window for the item and facility you intend to use. EveDashboard applies that percentage and rounds recovered material quantities down to whole units.
The advanced yield builder is available when you want to estimate the percentage from facility, rigs, security space, skills and implant.
Yield = (50 + rig) × security modifier × structure modifier × Reprocessing skill × Reprocessing Efficiency × ore-processing skill × implant
The actual multiplicative terms are expressed as 1 + each applicable bonus. For example, Reprocessing V contributes ×1.15 and Reprocessing Efficiency V contributes ×1.10.
4. Upwell facility factors
| Input | Tool value | Meaning |
| Rig modifier | 0 / 1 / 3 | No rig, T1 reprocessing rig, or T2 reprocessing rig. |
| Security modifier | 0 / 0.06 / 0.12 | Highsec, lowsec, or nullsec/wormhole; used with reprocessing rigs. |
| Athanor structure modifier | +2% | Applied multiplicatively in the yield builder. |
| Tatara structure modifier | +5.5% | Applied multiplicatively in the yield builder. |
| Reprocessing skill | 3% / level | Up to a ×1.15 term at level V. |
| Reprocessing Efficiency | 2% / level | Up to a ×1.10 term at level V. |
| Ore-processing skill | 2% / level | The relevant processing skill for the material being refined. |
5. Raw value vs recovered value
There is no single correct market number, so the calculator lets you choose the comparison basis. Top Buy is the highest visible buy order, Top Sell is the lowest visible sell order, Split is the midpoint when both sides are available, and the Immediate modes use the quantity-aware liquidity calculations from the Price Checker engine.
If you plan to liquidate immediately, Immediate Sell is generally a more realistic comparison than assuming your entire stack can be sold at the single best buy price.
6. Facility fee / value adjustment
The optional fee field is deliberately generic. It applies a percentage haircut to recovered-output value for comparison while leaving retained leftovers untouched. Enter an effective cost you actually want to model; EveDashboard does not claim that one fixed percentage represents every NPC station or player-owned structure.
7. Break-even yield
The tool estimates the yield at which the recovered-output option would equal the intact source value at current prices. It is an approximation because market prices, liquidity and whole-unit rounding can change the exact crossover point.
8. Use the tools together
Every source item and recovered output links into Market Search for a full single-item market view. The recovered basket can also be sent directly into Price Checker for a normal multi-item appraisal.
